Today and a few moments ago, in an official event, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 12S series of phones, including the Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro, and of course, the top version of this family.
A few moments ago, Xiaomi officially unveiled the new Xiaomi 12 family phones. This ceremony hosted the introduction of Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro and 12S Ultra. In the following, we are going to check the specifications of the 12S and 12S Pro phones.

Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro have been officially unveiled
Today, in addition to the Xiaomi 12S series phones, Xiaomi also unveiled two other products, the Mi Band 7 Pro smart watch and the attractive Xiaomi Book Pro 2022 laptop. But here we are talking about new phones.
The two standard and pro phones in the new family of Xiaomi phones are very similar from a hardware point of view, but there are a few differences. For example, while the screen size of the standard version is 6.28 inches, the Pro version has a 6.73-inch screen. Both panels are of course AMOLED type and come with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz screen refresh rate.
In the photography department, the new series of Xiaomi phones are equipped with Leica brand cameras, a well-known name in the world of mobile cameras. The camera module of the standard version of the 12S family includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 5-megapixel macro sensor.
The Pro model has the upper hand, and its camera set includes 50 megapixel Sony IMX707 sensors with optical image stabilization support, 50 megapixel ultrawide and 50 megapixel telephoto sensors, which are naturally much better than the normal version. In the selfie camera department, both phones have a 32 megapixel camera.
In terms of hardware, like some other parts, the situation is the same with both phones being equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus 1st generation. Both products offer up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage in their highest version.
The regular version has a 4500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging technology, but the Pro model brings a 4600mAh battery with 120W fast charging. Both phones support 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Both phones are identical in other minor features such as under-display fingerprint sensor, Gorilla Glass Victus screen protector on both sides, Android 12 operating system and MIUI 13 user interface, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 6E support and Bluetooth 5.2.
Regarding the price, the price of Xiaomi 12S starts from 3999 yuan in the basic version (8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory). The 8/256 GB version is also priced at 4299 yuan. The higher versions of this product, which are 256.12 and 512.12 GB respectively, are priced at 4699 Yuan and 5199 Yuan respectively. These combinations are exactly the same for Xiaomi 12S Pro, and from the basic version to the top version, the prices are 4699 yuan, 4999 yuan, 5399 yuan and 5899 yuan, respectively.
