According to a statement released by the US Department of Defense (DOD) on July 20, a UFO center will soon be established in the US Department of Defense.

The Pentagon’s UFO Research Office, known as AARO, will serve as the center for the collection, review, and management of UFO sighting reports throughout the U.S. Department of Defense, including the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force.

According to the statement, the AARO office works across the Department of Defense and the United States government to identify anomalous and unidentified airborne objects and will cooperate as needed to mitigate threats related to operational safety and national security.
The objects that this office will try to identify include unusual, unidentified, airborne, submerged and transmedium objects. UFOs or trans-medium objects, which in Farsi are also used to describe the term “flying saucer”, are unknown flying objects that move between the ground, air and sea. The US government has called these objects Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP).
The issue has gained attention in recent years, following the release in 2017 of three videos taken by US military pilots. In these videos, drones were shown traveling at supersonic speeds.
In 2019, another video of a UFO diving from the sky into the ocean was captured by the US Navy. The videos were officially confirmed by the US Navy in 2020, but no explanation was given for the unidentified objects.
In 2020, the US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence issued a request to investigate UFOs, but there were concerns about the government’s approach to collecting and analyzing such reports.
In June 2021, the Pentagon in a report mentioned 140 UFO sightings by Navy pilots and finally declared that there was no evidence of alien activity in the reports.
During Freedom of Information Act requests, the government released more than 1,500 pages of information about UFOs. This information included a series of strange events such as unknown pregnancies and people being burned by radiation caused by UFOs.
This new office will be managed by Sean Kirkpatrick. He previously served as a senior scientist at the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Missile and Space Intelligence Center.
