During the event held last night, Marvel Studios announced the release date of the second season of Marvel’s What If series from Disney Plus.
Marvel’s what if series will return to Disney Plus with its second season in early 2023. Marvel gave a sneak peek at the second season of the series during the San Diego Comic-Con event on Friday.

The second season of the What If series
Journalists who were present at last night’s event pointed out that in the trailer of this series, we see the presence of familiar and old characters but in strange situations. For example, in one episode of this series, Steve Rogers is present as the Winter Soldier. Also, an episode was made based on the comic book 1602 written by Neil Gaiman.
In this series, we are going to see a fight between two characters Shang-Chi and Odin. Iron Man is also stuck on the waste planet Sakaar in one episode. Also, Marvel announced that the third season of this series is in the works along with a spin-off called Marvel Zombies.
The first season of what if, written by AC Bradley, premiered on Disney Plus in 2021. Based on a series of Marvel comic books, the anime will follow a new timeline and not follow the timeline that fans are familiar with.
In fact, this series examines what the consequences would be if things had happened differently in the movies. For example, in the first episode of season one of the series, what would happen if Peggy Carter was given the Super Soldier serum and she became Captain America.
Since this series was well received by viewers and Marvel fans, the second and third seasons of this series have been confirmed by Marvel.
The first nine episodes of the series featured many Marvel characters, such as Captain America, Black Panther, and Iron Man. In the 9 episodes of the second season, it is expected that the story and past events will change for many Marvel heroes. Based on what has been published so far, the names of some episodes of the second season of this series are:
- A Hela story
- Odin vs The Mandarin
- Captain Carter meeting Winter Soldier
- Tony on Sakaar with Valkyrie and Hulk
