While discussing the protection plan, a member of parliament said that with the implementation of this plan, the possibility of filtering WhatsApp, Instagram and other social networks will be very strong.
The Deputy Chairman of the Article 44 Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, regarding the status of the protection plan, said that during the review of the plan in the court of the Assembly, he repeatedly demanded transparency of meetings, opinions and votes of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace. He feels a special immunity in relation to this council. Mr. Nouri says that the High Council of Cyberspace is immune from any kind of lawsuit or complaint of individuals.

Possibility of filtering WhatsApp and Instagram
Gholamreza Nouri, Deputy Chairman of the Article 44 Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, continued his speech on the status of the protection plan, saying that the plan is in a situation whose fate is unknown even to us and we do not know what will happen to it.
“The protection plan is immune from accountability and transparency, but we hope they do not do it with the people,” he said. Mr. Nouri says that if this plan is implemented, the possibility of filtering WhatsApp, filtering Instagram and many popular social networks is not far from the mind.
Mr. Nouri says it was appropriate to send the plan from the Article 85 Commission to the High Council of Cyberspace, whose members at the time were well-coordinated and carefully engineered to update the plan, but subsequent decisions have led to ambiguities about the plan. Because it is difficult to amend the parliament’s resolution and only the Guardian Council can not approve the resolution.
