The latest reports indicate that Intel is trying to launch the first devices equipped with Wi-Fi 7 by 2024. On the other hand, Apple will move to Wi-Fi 6E technology.
A new report claims that Intel will launch Wi-Fi 7 or 802.11be technology in devices in 2024. On the other hand, Apple is about to migrate to Wi-Fi 6E and it is expected that the iPhone 14 series will be launched with this technology.

The launch of the first devices equipped with Wi-Fi 7 in 2024
Wi-Fi 7 will replace Wi-Fi 6E, or 802.11ax, and will likely double the speed to 5.8 Gbps, operating in the 6 GHz band. Intel will work hard on developing this technology for laptops before launching it in 2024.
Previously, the vice president of Intel’s wireless solutions department said in a press conference in Asia:
We are currently developing 802.11be Wi-Fi to obtain Wi-Fi Union certification. This technology will be installed on PC products such as laptops in 2024. We expect Wi-Fi 7 to hit major markets by 2025.
McLachlin said about the technical specifications of this technology: “Wi-Fi 7 almost doubles the frequency bandwidth of 802.11ax from 170 MHz to 320 MHz. Wi-Fi speed is also doubled. “Given that 802.11be is more than a year away, there is still a chance that we can increase the processing speed even more.”
Of course, except for Intel, Qualcomm, Broadcom and MediaTek are also preparing to release products based on Wi-Fi 7. On the other hand, according to related reports, Apple is also moving to Wi-Fi 6E technology. Last year, it was rumored that this technology would be released with the iPhone 13, but this did not happen, and now it is expected that the iPhone 14 will be released with this feature this year.
On the other hand, it is expected that the mixed reality headset of this company will have Wi-Fi 6E. Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple’s headsets will arrive in 2022, 2023, and 2024 and will feature Wi-Fi 6/6E, Wi-Fi 6E/7, and Wi-Fi 7, respectively.
Wi-Fi 6E has more features and capabilities than Wi-Fi 6. This technology has lower latency, higher data transfer rate and wider bandwidth at 6 GHz with a processing speed of 2.4 Gbps.
