Sony has completely revamped its PlayStation Plus subscription service by combining it with PlayStation Now to create three new tiers. The first tier is called PS Plus Essential, which is the standard subscription it’s always been. The second level is called PS Plus Extra. This tier has all the benefits of a standard subscription plus games that were available through PlayStation Now. And finally, the third level, called PS Plus Premium, includes games from the previous two levels and a collection of games from previous generation consoles.

The collection of PS Plus Extra games is different from the standard free PS Plus games that subscribers can download each month. As with PlayStation Now, PS Plus Extra games cannot be stored in a user’s game library and remain available forever. For this reason, two games are scheduled to be removed from the service’s list of titles later this month.
