Disruption of access to the global Internet in Mobin Net

According to the data of NetBlocks, a non-governmental organization that oversees the global Internet, the disruption of access to the global Internet has been confirmed in the Mobin Net operator.

NetBlocks wrote in a tweet that this action was taken at the same time as the restrictions and interruption of the Internet in Iran due to protests against the killing of Mehsa Amini. Mobin Net is one of the largest internet service companies in Iran that provides home wireless internet. Now, restrictions on global Internet access have been imposed on Mobin Net, and this has coincided with Internet disruptions in many hours of the day and night.

Disruption of access to the global Internet

In recent days, other applications such as Instagram, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, App Store, Google Play, Skype, as well as Microsoft and Starlink sites have been removed from the reach of users inside Iran. Earlier, the Minister of Interior Vahidi, in a conversation with Sedav-Sima, called foreign social networks a battle, and said about the possibility of restrictions on these platforms:

“Some of these networks are incendiary and organize riots and cause sabotage.”

Also, Vahidi had added: “The rioters cause such restrictions to be imposed. Naturally, if the security and intelligence apparatus make sure that this is no longer the case, these restrictions will be lifted.”
