Moments ago, the Asus brand unveiled its newest gaming representatives, the Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro with exciting specifications.
Asus first used the ROG name for its smartphones in 2018, and now in 2022 we will see the introduction of the latest family of gaming smartphones, the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro. These smartphones are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus 1st generation chip, and their important difference is related to the amount of RAM, the programmable AMOLED display on their back panel.

Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro
In its new phones, Asus uses a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, which provides a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and its touch sampling rate is 720 Hz. The maximum brightness of this screen is 1200 nits and in addition to the refresh rate of 165 Hz, the screen can be set to 60, 90, 120 and 144 Hz modes. The display is protected by Victus Gorilla Glass.
These two gaming phones both come with the first generation Snapdragon 8 Plus chip. The standard model of this series has a maximum of 12 or 16 GB of RAM and the Pro model has a maximum of 18 GB of RAM. In terms of internal memory, these two attractive phones can be equipped with 256 or finally 512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal memory, which of course cannot be increased.
Asus has updated the cooling system of these two new phones compared to before in a way that can reduce the CPU temperature by 10 degrees Celsius. In this product, ultrasonic air trigger is also used on the right side and back part, which some games support.
Other features of these two products include dual speakers, three microphones, surround sound with Dirac Virtuo and 3.5 mm headphone jack. The two Asus gaming phones are also splash and dust resistant thanks to the IPX4 standard.
In terms of cameras, both phones share the same platform, including a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. Both products also have a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 sensor.
Asus has used a large 6000 mAh battery in these phones, which is actually two 3000 mAh batteries placed together. These devices also have two USB-C ports, one on the bottom and one on the side frame, but charging speed is still limited to 65W. Asus ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro are equipped with the default operating system Android 12 along with the user interface ROG UI and Zen UI.
The Rogue Phone 6 with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage is priced at 999 euros, and the Pro model with 18 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage is priced at 1,299 euros.
