According to the published benchmark, the chip is 50% faster than the M1 in terms of graphics processing. Meanwhile, the CPU unit of the M2 chip was able to show a significant improvement. Compared to the previous generation, this chip was able to gain more points for single-core and multi-core. According to the published benchmark, the chip has a score of 1919 for single cores and 8928 for several cores.
The M2 single-core score is about 12 percent higher than the M1, bringing the difference to 19 percent. According to the GeekBench database, the M1 chip scored 1720 and 7474 points for single-core and multi-core, respectively. During the WWDC conference, Apple claimed that the CPU power of the M2 chip increased by 18% compared to the M1, which in the benchmark results exceeded Apple’s claim and reached 19%.
