Although it is not yet clear when this feature will be available to all users, but according to the WABetaInfo report, users who have this feature enabled will see a new category called “Avatar” in the settings section. Using this option, users can personalize their digital version and enjoy it.

In early 2022, Meta gave them a 3D look and users were able to use them in their feed posts, Facebook profiles, and Instagram stories.

According to Igrim Schurman, General Manager of Avatars and Meta Identity, this update means adding Whatsapp 3D avatars is part of the company’s efforts to enter the metaverse, which includes not only virtual and augmented reality, but also creates a bridge between more familiar platforms such as the user’s phone and computer.
